If you’re in the mood for a nice bike ride in the mountains, a few greens to putter around on or an entertaining concert on the river, Reno is the place to be. Here are a few of the hottest ways to spend the warm summer days:
Northstar at Tahoe’s Mountain Bike Park
This year, with the addition of the new Tahoe Zephyr Express six-person chairlift, riders will benefit from the resort’s ability to provide more uphill capacity than ever before. Providing access to more than 100 miles of trails, the Gondola Express, Vista Express and Tahoe Zephyr Express chairlifts make it easy for riders to experience the technical downhill and freestyle features they crave.
The Resort at Red Hawk
This resort has it all. Play on two championship golf courses designed to challenge any afficionado’s game and enjoy the artfully designed setting featuring natural lakes, murmuring springs and mature cottonwood trees. Other amenities include a full practice range with chipping and pitching stations, practice bunkers and a meticulously manicured 10,000 square foot practice green.
Rolling on the River Concert Series
Beginning June 13, 2008, you’ll enjoy a variety of concerts in downtown Reno all summer long. Be sure to stop by the Wingfield Park Amphitheater every Friday at 5:30 p.m. to get in on the fun.
